SeeD
Summer course in environmental engineering for Development (SeeD)
SeeD is an international field component of the course Engineering for International Sustainable Development: Methods and Project Work (12 ECTS), part of the Environmental Sustainability and International Cooperation track (curriculum) in the Master’s Degree in Environmental Engineering at the University of Trento.
The SEED project work is conducted in collaboration with local partners (Universities, NGO, CSO) and takes place in the field for approximately two weeks. Its primary goal is to bridge theory and practice by applying sustainable engineering concepts in real-world contexts. Participants are usually a mixed team of UniTrento students and local students. They engage with public and private stakeholders, learning to navigate multidisciplinary projects in multicultural environments.
The Vigliani family had generously supported the SeeD program in honour of Dr. Piergiorgio Vigliani.
