In the south-east part of Europe, there are still environments with a high degree of naturalness, such as the Vjosa River delta in Albania. This post explores the coastline evolution at the river outlet through remote sensing analysis and numerical modelling, highlighting erosion and accretion patterns as well as wave shoaling and refraction processes near the shore.
