The UNESCO Chair in “Engineering for Human and Sustainable Development” was established at the University of Trento in 2011 within the DICAM, Departement of Civil Environmental and Mechanics Engineering.
WHAT WE DO
Contributing to the growth of a new generation of globally responsible and competent engineers, able to effectively use technology and engineering approaches to promote development in its human, environmental and socio-economic dimensions, having local impact in a sustainability perspective.
HISTORY BOX
After its inception phase (2011–2017), a second phase of the Chair’s activities (2017–2022) marked a clear expansion in scale, scope, and impact, leading to a consolidation phase in which key activities were further upgraded and adapted to evolving global scenarios and their local implications within a broader perspective.
